I am a licensed holistic psychotherapist specializing in treating adults with mild to severe trauma including childhood, relationship, chronic, and single incident traumas as well as dissociative disorders.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), I will guide you beyond talk therapy so you can learn how to safely process emotions stored in your body, maintain a regulated nervous system, delve into your own subconscious, and develop your intuition & innate healing potential.

Together we will explore those inner nooks and crannies that hold old wounds, stuck beliefs, as well as your inner wisdom so you can heal on the deepest levels, learn to trust yourself, and thrive as your badass authentic self.

specialties

parts work - you've heard of inner child healing, but that is just one aspect of parts work. This approach views individuals as having multiple or many distinct internal aspects or "parts" that influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am primarily influenced by Internal Family Systems and the Structural Dissociation model.

somatics - I draw primarily from sensorimotor psychotherapy to guide you in creating safety within your body so you can learn its language and interpret the constant messages it conveys. Recognizing that trauma often resides in the body, we work to safely integrate it into the healing process.

spirituality - this is about what YOU bring to the healing process. The spiritual dimension of therapy is all about supporting you in defining what spirituality means for you personally, cultivating your intuition, and exploring your unique inner truths—without the imposition of any specific spiritual philosophies.

EMDR - (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-focused therapy that utilizes guided bilateral stimulation to help clients process and alleviate the emotional distress associated with traumatic memories. The best part about EMDR is you don't even have to verbalize your trauma if you don't want to.

In ancient Greek philosophy, "psyche" denoted the Soul or essence of one's being, while "therapeia" meant treatment or healing. Hence, psychotherapy is the healing of the Soul. At its core, it's about delving deep, extending beyond mere self-awareness and cognitive understanding. Holistic depth work involves exploring emotions and aspects we may fear, harbor anger towards, or dislike. It's a journey to challenge our beliefs and foster profound healing for the Soul.

about me

My path to becoming a psychotherapist began at 14 years old when I attended my own therapy for the first time and knew immediately on a weirdly deep level that I had found my calling. I spent my adolescence in a number of therapeutic communities that totally saved my life and also provided me with my first experiences of supporting others through challenging periods of growth. I have always felt totally lit up by the process of self-exploration, whether it be my own or guiding others through theirs.

My professional training in this field began in 2011 under the guidance of the community that supported my healing process as a teenager. During these early years I worked closely with adolescents whose traumas and addictions were no match for traditional forms of talk therapy, and those teens humbled me to a place of rawness, authenticity, and creativity that is now a foundational part of my work. In 2015 I received a Bachelors degree in Religious Studies from UC Berkeley where I primarily studied philosophy of religion, inspired by my interest in how systems of belief impact our individual psyches. I obtained my Masters degree in Holistic Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University (now National University) in 2018, after which I transitioned into working in a more traditional therapeutic setting, still focusing my work on the treatment of trauma.

Some of my favorite things are spending time in the sun and water, seeking out new experiences, connecting with others through laughter and conversation, and finding exciting ways to learn and grow.
